Where to sow

Sow thinly in trays, pots or modules at about 22°C, cover finely with compost. Cover with glass or polythene to retain humidity. .

What to do next

Remove cover as soon as seedlings appear. When seedlings are 5cm (2") tall, prick off into individual pots, thin modules to a single seedling per cell. When plants are 15cm (6") tall transplant to greenhouse border, growbags or large pots. Support with canes if necessary. .
